What is Elgin 311? 

In January 2014, the city of Elgin launched a centralized 311 contact center to more efficiently respond to requests and inquiries from residents, visitors and businesses. Highly trained citizen advocates are on hand to answer any question you have and record your requests right away. One of the important benefits of the system is that you can instantly track and monitor your requests to make sure city services are completed in an efficient, timely and transparent manner. 

Consider Elgin 311 your personal hotline to faster service, improved communication and a stronger connection with your city and community. Elgin’s 311 will make connecting to your local government easier no matter your preferred method.

What can I do now?

Dial 311 (847-931-6001) between the hours of 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday for general information and non-emergency city services like missed garbage pick-up or a downed tree branch.
