In 1981, this property was designated as a park. It is now a 191-acre complex with the addition of the adjacent property to the east and is the home for softball and soccer recreational leagues as well as many tournaments. Ten softball fields and as many soccer fields are provided. It is also the home of a BMX racing track, one of only two in northern Illinois. Some open space for sports practice and volleyball is also part of the mix. A paved bike trail provides access to the main grounds from McLean Boulevard.
