Block Party

The City of Elgin has created an application specifically to simplify the process of hosting a block party. The application is designed to help you address all of the questions you might have. In an effort to further your success, the City has created the "Block Party in a Box," which has everything you need to host a memorable event.

Block Party Permit Application

If you are planning to host a neighborhood Block Party, please complete the Block Party Permit Application and return it to the Special Events Office at City Hall no less than 30 days before your event along with your $10 application fee. You can view the English version here and the Spanish version here. Please reference the special events planning guide for more information. The $10 application fee is waived for National Night Out.

Block Party in a Box

Everything you need to host a memorable block party is in the "Block Party in a Box!" Everything from pop-up tents and tables to street barricades and safety signs to yard games and entertainment. You can reserve the Block Party in a Box for your event and city staff will handle the drop off and pickup for you. There is a $50 refundable deposit to reserve it and reservations are taken on a first-come-first-served basis. The Block Party in a Box can not be reserved on National Night Out.

Fiesta En Tu Cuadra

La Ciudad de Elgin ha creado una aplicación específicamente para simplificar el proceso de organizar una fiesta de cuadra. La aplicación está diseñada para ayudarte a responder todas las preguntas que puedas tener. En un esfuerzo por promover tu éxito, la Ciudad ha creado "Fiesta En Tu Cuadra En Una Caja", que tiene todo lo que necesitas para organizar un evento memorable.

Solicitud De Permiso 

Si estas planeando organizar una fiesta de cuadra, completa la solicitud para el permiso de fiesta de cuadra y devuélvelo a la Oficina de Eventos Especiales de la Ciudad de Elgin con un mínimo de 14 días antes de tu evento junto con tu pago de solicitud de $10. Puedes ver la versión en inglés aquí y la versión en español aquí. El pago de solicitud de $10 no se aplica para National Night Out.

Fiesta En Tu Cuadra En Una Caja

Todo lo que necesitas para organizar una fiesta de cuadra memorable se encuentra en el remolque. Todo, desde carpas y mesas hasta barricadas en las calles y letreros de seguridad hasta juegos de jardín y entretenimiento. Puedes reservar el remolque para tu evento y el personal de la ciudad se encargará de dejarlo y recogerlo. Hay un depósito reembolsable de $50 para reservarlo y las reservaciones se toman en el orden que se reciben. El remolque no se puede reservar para National Night Out.
