The Elgin Police Department has scheduled training to prepare citizens in basic disaster response skills. The CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) course offers education that will enable residents to support the needs of their family, neighborhood and workplace following disaster. Classes have been rescheduled to begin on Tuesday, November 7, 2013.
