Elgin residents can now register their dogs to use Freedom Run, an off-lease dog park located at 6150 Russell Road in Hoffman Estates. Registration must be done in person and can be done at the Centre of Elgin if paying by credit card. Call 847-531-7013 to make an appointment to register your dog. All other payment forms must be done at one of the following Hoffman Estates facilities – Willow Rec Center, 3600 Lexington Drive or Triphahn Center 1685 West Higgins Road. More details about the dog park and what you need to bring to register your dog can be found on the City of Elgin’s website. A grand opening of Freedom Run Dog Park will take place on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 10:00 am to noon. The dog park is open daily from sun up to sun down. Freedom Run Dog Park is a cooperative effort between the City of Elgin, the Hoffman Estates and Streamwood Park Districts.
