[ARCHIVED] Eagles Park Conceptual Plans to be shown at Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Meeting

The Elgin Park & Recreation Advisory Board invites interested residents to look over conceptual plans for Eagles Park, located at the end of Eagles Road.

As part of the regular board meeting on Tuesday January 31, 2012, 6pm, held in the West Conference Room at the Centre, a presentation of the concept plan will be made. Improvements are similar to those already approved years ago in the initial agreement with the Kane County Forest Preserve District. They include hiking trails, both internal loops, as well as connections to Lyle Boulevard and Royal Boulevard; a picnic shelter; interpretive signage; establishment of an open play field and restoration of native vegetation.

The City intends to apply for an RTP, Recreation Trails Program grant from the IDNR, Illinois Department of Natural Resources in help pay for the improvements listed above.
