ELGIN – Area residents are invited to provide input regarding Grant School Park, 265 N. Jackson St., as the Elgin’s Parks and Recreation Department begins to consider the park’s development Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Centre of Elgin’s Heritage Ballroom, 100 Symphony Way.
“We’re always open to what residents have to say about different features they’d like to see in a park,” said Randy Reopelle, director of the City’s Parks and Recreation Department.
This is the first in a series of meetings on the park’s development. The City purchased the Grant School property in 2005, with the purpose of developing a park, at the request of the area neighborhood.
