[ARCHIVED] Elgin Police Department to Host Winter Open House

Everyone is invited to the Elgin Police Department’s Winter Open House set for Saturday, Dec. 3 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the police station, 151 Douglas Ave.

Residents and guests will be treated to lots of fun including kids’ activities, equipment demonstrations and facility tours. Residents and guests can also warm up with some hot chocolate while meeting a department K9 dog and learning about the history of the entire department.

The open house is part of the Downtown Neighborhood Association’s Window Wonderland festivities also set for Saturday, Dec. 3 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. The event will be followed by the city of Elgin’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony scheduled for 5 p.m. at Civic Center Plaza, 150 Dexter Court.
