[ARCHIVED] Elgin Movies in the Park Continue

The City of Elgin will be presenting Raiders of the Lost Ark on Saturday evening, August 13, 2011 as part of the Classic Movie in the Park Series. Previous announcements and literature listed the movie at College Park, which is located at Gale and Spartan Drive, however the correct location is College Green Park, located on College Green Drive between Randall and McLean Boulevard.

Neighbors are encouraged to bring a blanket or folding chairs, and enjoy this classic movie with your family and friends.

Children’s activities are planned beginning at 7:00 p.m., themed to the featured movie and Col-lege Green Townhome Association will be selling popcorn and other treats. The movies will begin at sunset.

Other upcoming “Movies in the Park” series include Toy Story 3 being shown on Thursday, August 11 at Festival Park, and the final “Classic Movie Series” on September 10 at Summerhill Park, featuring The Rookie.
