[ARCHIVED] Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run Set for Sunday

Kane County residents are encouraged to come out and support their respective law enforcement agencies as police officers and other personnel participate in the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run set for Sunday, June 5 at the Elgin Police Department, 151 Douglas Street.

Law enforcement runners will participate in the five-mile run by purchasing a $15 t-shirt. Proceeds will benefit Special Olympics.

Law enforcement agencies from throughout Kane County will be participating in the annual event, now in its 25th year. EPD is sponsoring the Kane County portion of the run. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. with the run set to begin at 9:45 a.m.
