The scheduled opening of City Skate has been delayed to Saturday, December 4.
The unseasonably warm temperatures and large amount of rain fall that was experienced on Monday, November 22, 2010, severely compromised the condition of the ice and has delayed the opening of the rink.
City Skate is scheduled to open on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 12 noon. Free skate rentals will be available on this day to coincide with the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Registration for ice skate lessons will continue through Wednesday, December 2 at The Centre, 100 Symphony Way. Lessons are held Saturday mornings for three weeks starting December 4 for ages 3 years and older and range from $41-$59 with ice skate rental included.
