The City of Elgin has added more concerts to the “Concert in the Park” Series, kicking off this Tuesday, June 15th and continuing through August 13th. Concerts will be held at Wing Park on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and at Lords Park on Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring a picnic basket, chairs or blankets and enjoy these free concerts, featuring a variety of family-friendly musical entertainment.
More concerts have added this year, plus the city will be spotlighting a different Elgin neighborhood each week. Pack a picnic basket, bring a lawn chair and come out to enjoy free live music, every Sunday and Tuesday throughout June and July.

July 6th – New Invaders
This show will take you back in time to The British Invasion, the Shindig/Hullaballo era, life changing events of the decade, Woodstock, Haight-Ashbury and the Vietnam anti-war movement.
July 13th – R GangThis musical expertise and showmanship provide’s the very best entertainment in Motown/R&B!
July 20th – Libido Funk Circus
Chicago’s premier dance party band not only has perfected their high-energy renditions of the disco and dance hits of the 1970’s, they also perform the best very best dance and rock songs of the past 40 years.
July 27th – Spoken Four This band combines top-notch, experienced performers with pop club sensibilities. You will hear today’s best cover songs!
Just Added! Friday, August 13, The U.S. Airforce Band
This world-class symphonic wind ensemble performs a wide variety of repertoire from light classics, popular favorites and instrumental features, to classical transcriptions and original works for the band idiom. Its members represent the best-of-the-best in musical talent and education within the Air Force.

June 13th – Bill O’Connell is Chicago Skyliners Big Band The sole purpose of this band is for prolonging the musical memory of the Big Band Era.
