School’s out Monday, February 15th and the City of Elgin Parks and Recreation Department has a perfect alternative to television!
Adventure Island opens at 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. Gold, Bronze, and Junior members will receive entrance as part of their membership. Resident prices for admission are $6 for children and $7 for adults. Non-resident prices are $7 for children and $8 for adults. At certain times throughout the day, portions of the pool may be closed for existing programs.
Kids Day Off offers a full-day of supervised activities for children. Games, sports, crafts, rock climbing and swimming fills the day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for grades K-6. Bring your lunch, snacks, swimsuit and towel for a great day of fun. This program requires registration by Monday, Feb. 8. Fees are $38 for residents of Elgin and $42 for non-residents.
The climbing wall will be open from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Resident prices are $5 for youth and $7 for adult. Non-resident prices are $7 for youth and $9 for adult that includes climbing equipment and three climbs.
