Registration is now underway for the 2009 Adult Fall Softball leagues. The leagues are open to adults 18 and over, and begin the week of Sept. 7 at the Elgin Sports Complex. According to Delaney Lehman, Athletic Supervisor for the Elgin Parks and Recreation Department, the program is one of the more popular of the year. “Our adult softball leagues have a long history in our community and provide adults of all ages an opportunity to get outdoors for exercise, fun and camaraderie. We see many of the same team members returning year after year.”
Separate divisions are offered for Men’s 12", Women’s 11" and Co-Rec 12". Leagues are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays. The cost is $525, and is based on a minimum of 10 games, and includes the officials’ fees. Additional fees include a $50 forfeit fee (paid by Credit Card) and Non Resident Fees. The registration deadline for the fall softball leagues is Saturday, August 22.
