There are numerous events taking place to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On Saturday, January 17th starting at 8:30 a.m. a prayer breakfast will be held at the ECC Fox Valley University Business Conference Center, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Elgin City Hall, 150 Dexter Ct.
On Sunday, January 18th at 4:00 p.m. an Awards Ceremony and Public Program will be held at The Hemmens Cultural Center, 45 Symphony Way, Elgin. This program is FREE and open to the public.
