Elgin’s Public Works crews will be working to repair a broken water main on Rt. 25/Dundee Ave. just south of the I-90 interchange through the weekend.
“We were trying to get it fixed before the end of the day on Friday, but the work was more extensive than we initially believed,” said Tom McCoy, Elgin’s Utility Maintenance Supervisor. “We hope to have the main repaired by the end of the day on Saturday, but the cosmetic work will continue through Monday.”
Traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction.
