Three Elgin residents will soon receive a free $100 gas card from the City of Elgin Parks and Recreation Department as a thank you for participating in a recent parks survey. Winners were randomly selected from over 450 respondents who returned the survey by the September 3 deadline.

The City of Elgin Parks and Recreation Department distributed over 7,000 surveys, asking residents for their opinions regarding parks programs and facilities. To encourage people to participate, respondents were entered into a drawing to win one of three $100 gas cards.
Although this $100 gas card drawing has concluded, the Parks and Recreation Department will continue to accept completed surveys for another drawing to be held on October 5th. Surveys are available in both English and Spanish on the city’s website at www.cityofelgin.org/parks, or at the front desk of The Centre and at City Hall. Completed surveys can be mailed to City of Elgin Parks and Recreation Survey, 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, Il 60120 or can be dropped off at City Hall or The Centre. In addition, surveys in Spanish are currently being distributed to Spanish speaking residents through schools, churches and social service agencies. All survey results will help the Elgin Parks and Recreation Department better serve the needs of the community.
