Celebrate the opening of the renovated College Green Park with your neighbors on Sunday, September 7, 2008, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Residents of the College Green neighborhood are invited to a grand opening celebration. Improvements at College Green Park include an updated playground, a small shelter and a bike path link. The park is located on College Green Drive near Muirfield Circle, west of McLean Boulevard in Elgin.
A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. with a light lunch following of hot dogs, chips and drinks served by the representatives of the Elgin Community Network. Other activities will be games of bags, Frisbee golf, or ladder toss.
The celebration at College Green Park is the last of eight such celebrations planned throughout the City this summer at new parks.
