This year’s FoxFireFest is quickly approaching, and with performances by Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Starship, Blues Traveler and Sister Hazel this is an event not to miss!
In addition to a 50-vendor juried art showcase, fourteen different food and beverage vendors and great musical performances, the City of Elgin has added a special teen area on Saturday, August 2 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Teens can participate in a Bags tournament to win BestBuy gift cards, play Dance, Dance Revolution, bungee jump or climb on the rock wall…all for FREE!
The first 16 teens to sign up will participate in a Guitar Hero tournament and compete against each other to win a new guitar worth $1,000.
In addition to these activities, the City of Elgin has planned some great teen entertainment for the day. At 2:00 p.m., American Idol Season 6 Top 24 contestant Leslie Hunt will perform on the Children’s Stage. At 4:00 p.m., Thomas Ian Nicholas of “American Pie” and “Rookie of the Year” fame will perform on the Side Stage. The Rikters take on the Children’s Stage at 4:30 p.m.
