[ARCHIVED] Settler's Park Grand Opening

Celebrate the opening of one of Elgin’s newest parks on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Neighbors in the Providence Subdivision and community residents are invited to a grand opening celebration at Settler’s Park, located at Sutton and Cranston on the City’s west side. This three-acre park includes a playground, a picnic shelter, two tennis courts and a large sports field.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., and will be followed by refreshments provided by Town and Country Builders. Neighbors are encouraged to participate in a variety of games in the park including Frisbee golf, bags and ladder toss.
