[ARCHIVED] Heartland Blood Donation

As a resident in a community, the opportunities are endless for involvement. The Community of Elgin is partnering with Heartland Blood Centers this summer. Heartland is the supplier of blood products to Sherman and Provena Hospitals and they have requested as a community we help them.

The City of Elgin will be holding a blood drive at The Hemmens Cultural Center on July 24th from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. We are asking for 100 citizens to come out and donate. One complimentary guest pass for Wing Park Family Aquatic Center will be given to anyone donating blood (supplies limited). Heartland will also be giving you a gift card for a free quart of Oberweis Ice Cream.

The one thing that hospitals need to ensure proper care is a constant, healthy blood supply. This supply is for premature babies, cancer patients, accident victims and others who have a need for blood.

Please consider being a blood donor on the 24th. Your community thanks you for your support.
