[ARCHIVED] Be Part of the Community-Built Skate Park at Grant School Park

The Elgin Parks & Recreation Department is looking for community volunteers to help build the skate park at Grant School Park, located at the corner of Lawrence and Jackson on Elgin’s near west side.

 Help us out during the week of July 14
 Volunteers will work in 2-hour shifts
 Anyone 13 or older can be a volunteer*
 Work will involve moving skate elements in place and fastening numerous components together
 If you are skilled at this, GREAT, but it is not required
* To operate power tools, volunteers must be 18 or older

NOTE:
 A professional skate park installation supervisor will be on hand at all times.
 The City will require each participant and/or parent to sign a waiver of liability.

This is a fun summer project for neighbors or families to do together!
