[ARCHIVED] Trash Collection Discontinued Today Due to Inclement Weather

Residential solid waste collection throughout Elgin has been discontinued today due to inclement weather. Waste Management will resume collection in both the Wednesday and Thursday collection areas on Thursday, February 7, 2008.

Residents should continue to place their trash and recycling carts out for collection by 6:00 a.m. on their regular trash pick up day, as crews will be working simultaneously in multiple collection areas for the remainder of the week.

Carts should not be placed in the street as they can interfere with snow removal operations. If you have any questions please contact the Public Works Department at 847-931-3160.
