[ARCHIVED] Public Input Meeting for Skate Park Facilities at Grant School and Prairie Parks

Residents of the Grant Park Neighborhood, areas adjacent to the proposed Prairie Park development (on Willard Avenue, north of Villa), and the community at large are invited to assist in the design process for skate park facilities planned for the two parks. The meeting will be held January 28, 2008 at 5 p.m. in The Centre’s west conference room.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for residents to review and comment upon preliminary concept plans prepared for both skate parks. City staff will be present to address issues such as budgets and projected time lines for construction. A representative of the American Ramp Company will also be present to discuss the plans, equipment and answer other technical questions regarding the skate park facilities.

By the end of this meeting we will have finalized the skate park plans,” said Paul Bednar, the City’s Park Development Coordinator. “Skaters should be able to use these facilities by summer.”
