[ARCHIVED] Bark in the Park Frisbee Competition

The Elgin Parks & Recreation Department will be holding its 12th Annual Dog Frisbee Competition as part of Bark in the Park on Saturday, May 12 at Wing Park, behind the clubhouse. Registration for the Frisbee competition will take place on site from 9:00- 9:30 a.m. with an entry fee of $10 per dog. Points are awarded for the number of completed catches in 60 seconds, with additional points being given for distance and catching with all four paws in the air. Entrants will be provided one free Frisbee per dog. All dogs attending the event must be on a leash and picked up after.

The new, expanded Bark in the Park event will take place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and include representatives from various rescue shelters and organizations, local pet retailers and entertainment, including a pet caricature artist. Profits from the sale of promotional items will be donated to local pet shelters.
