[ARCHIVED] Public Input Meeting for Skate Park Facilities at Grant and Prairie Parks

Residents of the Grant Park Neighborhood, areas adjacent to the proposed Prairie Park development, and the community at large are invited to a public input meeting to assist in the design process for skate park facilities planned for the two parks. The meeting will be held Wednesday, April 4 5:00 p.m. at the Centre’s Celebration Room.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for residents to review and comment upon preliminary concept plans prepared for both skate parks; as well as playground plans for Grant School Park. City staff will be present to address issues such as budgets and projected time lines for construction. A representative of the American Ramp Company will also be present to discuss the plans, equipment and answer other technical questions regarding the skate park facilities.

“We have had excellent input at the previous public meetings from residents regarding both Grant School and Prairie Parks. I look forward to another productive meeting so we can finalize the planning process, and get the construction of these sites underway,” said Jeremy Helton, the City’s Park Development Coordinator.
