Inspired Elgin: An Immersive Arts and Cultural Experience
Join us for an afternoon of culture with this fun event from 1pm-5pm Sunday, September 18, 2022 on the Civic Plaza (Eastside of The Hemmens) with street performers, pop-up performances, food trucks and arts activities all culminating in the featured event which is a concert featuring Anne-Marie McDermott with Chamber Music On The Fox from 3pm-4:30pm at The Hemmens Cultural Center in our main stage theatre.
The concert can also be heard on the plaza, so feel free to bring blanket(s) or chair(s) to enjoy the music outdoor on the lawn if it suits you!
In a career that has spanned over 25 years, American pianist Anne-Marie McDermott has played concertos, recitals and chamber music in hundreds of cities throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. The breadth of her repertoire matches that of her instrument, spanning from Bach, Haydn and Beethoven to Rachmaninoff, Prokoviev and Scriabin to works by today’s most influential composers.
