Primary Election - February 23 

The February 23 Consolidated Primary Election contests for Elgin Township Supervisor and Highway Commissioner. Elgin residents who are registered to vote can apply to vote by mail.

Requesting a Mail-In Ballot for February 23 Election

  • Kane County residents, click here. The deadline to apply for a vote-by-mail ballot for the primary is February 18 at 4:30 p.m.
  • Cook County residents, click here. The deadline to apply is February 18.

Consolidated General Election - April 6

The Consolidated General Election will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. This election includes contests for city council seats, township elected offices, library district elected offices, school boards and fire districts. Elgin residents who are registered to vote can apply to vote by mail.

Requesting a Mail-In Ballot for April 6 Election

  • Kane County residents, click here. The last day to request a vote by mail online is April 1, 2021 at 4:30 P.M. Ballots will not be sent until Friday, March 12, 2021.
  • Cook County residents, click here. The deadline to apply is five days before the election.
