The Elgin Police Department will host its annual awards ceremony on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at The Centre of Elgin's Heritage Ballroom, 100 Symphony Way. Citizens, civilians and police officers will receive awards for exceptional contributions during the 2015 year. Chief Swoboda will also be presenting the civilian, rookie, officer, and manager of the year awards.
"We are always so humbled by the number of residents who come to show their support for those who are being recognized," said Chief Swoboda.
This event is open to the public and all are invited to attend. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the ceremony will be held from 7-9 p.m.
