[ARCHIVED] Antique Fire Apparatus Muster to be held at the Fire Barn

The City of Elgin’s Fire Department will host its annual Antique Fire Apparatus Muster at the Fire Barn No. 5 Museum, 533 St. Charles St., Elgin, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 16th. The event is open to the public and attendance is free.

The event will offer attractions for the young and old alike – including displays, fire department demonstrations, games, fire engine rides and much more. Food and beverages will be offered.

Fire Barn No. 5 opened as a firehouse in 1904 and operated for nearly 100 years before it became the home of the Elgin Fire Museum. Today the museum offers exhibits spanning more than 130 years of Elgin firefighting history.
