[ARCHIVED] Free Summer Programs

The City of Elgin Parks and Recreation Department provides free summer programming in various neighborhood parks and schools. These programs are open to Elgin residents only and registration is not required. Drop In Playgrounds offers activities for ages 6-12years from 10am-3pm at Wing Park, St. Francis Park, Grolich Park, Community Baptist Church (corner of Mark Ave & Deborah Ave), and Abbott Park. Rec In The Streets offers activities for ages 5-15 years from 10am-3pm on Tuesdays at Buena Vista playground, Wednesdays at Poplar Creek playground and Thursdays at Lords Park School. Open Gym/Fun Centers are available for ages 6-12years at Creekside and McKinley Elementary Schools Monday through Thursdays, 6-8:30pm and for 13-17years at Elgin Central Thursday through Saturdays, 6-9pm. All of these programs will run through the first week of August.
