[ARCHIVED] EPD to Host 'EyeDrive Elgin' Free Training Program in January

The Elgin Police Department has a training program designed to teach drivers in the city of Elgin how to keep an eye open for suspicious activities or emergency situations. The ‘EyeDrive Elgin’ Community Watch Program is a training class that will focus on how to report criminal activity, suspicious people and activity, how to be a good witness, and technological solutions to assist drivers.

Training Dates and Times:

Three training sessions will be held on January 14, 2015 at the police department starting at 9:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 6:00 PM. These one hour training sessions will be taught by members of the police department and attendance is at no cost. Registration is open through January 13th and citizens, personal transportation businesses, and shipping/delivery businesses from Elgin and the surrounding communities are encouraged to attend.

Registration is available online at www.cityofelgin.org/eyedrive or you can also contact Commander Ana Lalley at (847)289-2761 with any questions. Registration will be open until January 13th, and each class will be limited to 30 participants.
