[ARCHIVED] Fundraiser for retired sergeant Tom Linder and his family

Many of you might remember Sergeant Tom Linder, who retired from our department in 2012 after 27 years of service. He has spent much of his life helping others, not just during his law enforcement career, but through personal missions he undertook with community organizations. Shortly after he retired, he suffered an illness that has caused financial challenges for his family. While we do not ordinarily post fundraisers – we have actually organized this one to help our comrade. On August 28th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, we are hosting a fundraiser for Tom Linder at Danny's On Douglas in Elgin. For a cost of $20.00, guests can enjoy pizza and soft drinks. The proceeds will directly benefit Tom and his family, who have given so much to our community. If you know Tom, or if you just want to help, we hope you will joins us. If you have questions about this event, please contact Chief Swoboda at 847-289-2760. Thank you.
