Overview

The Historic Architectural Rehabilitation Grant Program is intended to emphasize the special architecture in Elgin’s historic districts and landmarks.

The grants are for special work to highlight this uniqueness, not for compliance with the basic minimum property maintenance codes. Please see the Past Project Examples that show eligible grant projects.
