Kane County Elgin Court: Monday/Wednesday/Thursday
Bond call only on Fridays - no scheduled court hearings
Attending Court:
Come on time and bring an ID, insurance proof, ticket, copies, and/or court paperwork for quicker service.
Be on time! Doors closed after check-in is complete.
Scan through a metal detector is required and bags and purses will be searched.
No food or drink in courtroom allowed.
No weapons/sharps/tools/food or beverage.
No facilities for children.
Phones must be silenced/no texting and may be seized until end of court call.
Time limits on parking are enforced.
If you miss your Elgin court date you must go to the Kane County Clerks’ office at 540 S. Randall Rd. St. Charles, IL in person to reschedule. It cannot be rescheduled by Elgin court clerks.
If you forget your court date/lose your paperwork you must go to the Kane County Clerk’s office. Information is not given by phone.
Fines may be paid in the courtroom only on your court appearance date.
Pay fines in person at the Kane County Clerks’ office at least 3 business days before your court date. Mail payments must be received at the Clerk’s office at least 3 business days before your court date.
