Once you have requested a date, either by filling out the online Rental Inquiry Form or phoning us at 847-697-3616, we will check availability and hold that date if it is available. Our Director will then contact you to discuss the specifics of your event and will provide you with an estimated cost.
If you approve the estimate, a non-refundable deposit will be required immediately. New and returning renters must pay a deposit amount of $100 per rental day up to $500. First time renters will also be required to prepay the full amount of their rental estimate. Make checks payable to City of Elgin and mail to The Hemmens at 45 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL 60120.
You must also provide to The Hemmens, not less than thirty days prior to the event, a Certificate of Insurance for general liability claims for personal injury and property damage at the premises with limits not less than $1,000,000 in the aggregate.
A Lease Agreement will be prepared and two copies will be mailed to you 60 days before your event. You will be required to sign both copies and return them to The Hemmens. Our Director will then sign the copies also and you will be mailed a fully executed copy of the lease agreement for your records.
