Disaster Preparedness Expo

The City of Elgin Office of Emergency Management will host a “Disaster Preparedness Expo,” Friday June 21st from 2 pm – 9 pm at The Centre of Elgin Heritage Ballroom.

At 7:00 pm, the keynote speaker will be Warren Faidley, “America’s foremost, hands-on severe weather and disaster survival expert.”  He is an extreme weather journalist and has followed violent weather for 25 years.  He has provided live reports for major news networks, and appeared in specials including National Geographic and The Discovery Channel.  Warren has written two books, his bestselling autobiography “Storm Chaser - A Lifelong Quest to Find the Perfect Storm” and “The Ultimate Storm Survival Handbook.”
