Fire Stations

Fire Station 1

550 Summit Street | 847-931-6178

Fire Station 1 is located on Summit Street, just west of Liberty Street (Route 25). Station 1 serves the northeast part of Elgin. Station 1 is the headquarters of the Elgin Fire Department. In addition to the on-duty crew available for emergency response, the station also contains the administrative offices of the Fire Chief, the Assistant Fire Chief's as well as the Fire Prevention Bureau.

Fire Station 2

Fire Station 2 is located on Big Timber Road, one quarter mile west of Route 31. Station Two serves the northwest part of Elgin.

Fire Station 3

2455 Royal Boulevard | 847-931-6173

Fire Station Three is located on Royal Boulevard one quarter mile east of Randall Road. Station Three serves the west area of Elgin with boundaries to the west being the village limits of Pingree Grove, north to Route 72, south to Route 20, east to Mclean Boulevard, as well as the Randall Road corridor. Engine 3 provides Auto Aid to Pingree Grove and Rutland Dundee.

Fire Station 4

Fire Station Four was placed in service in November 1991 and is located at the intersection of McLean Boulevard and Sports Way at the entrance to the Sports Complex. Station Four serves the southwest part of Elgin.

Fire Station 5

Fire Station Five was placed in service in November 1991 and is located at the corner of Villa Street and Willard Avenue. Station Five serves the southeast part of Elgin.

Fire Station 6

Fire Station Six opened on May 1, 2005 and is located at 707 W. Chicago Street. Station Six responds to calls within the downtown area and the central near west section of the City. District 6 has Wing Street as its northern boundary, Spring Street to the east, McLean Boulevard to the west, and Route 20 to the south.

Station 7

3270 Longcommon Parkway | 847-931-6637

Fire Station Seven was placed in service on May 5, 2008 and is located at 3270 Longcommon Parkway on Elgin’s far west side. Station Seven provides coverage to the far west side of Elgin. The five bay, 17,270 square foot station’s response area covers the southwest section of the city and houses the fire department's fleet maintenance division.
