ERC to House a Vaccination Site Starting on April 7
The Kane County Board Office and the Kane County Health Department, in collaboration with Cook County and the City of Elgin, will launch a vaccination site at Elgin’s Eastside Recreation Center, located at 1080 East Chicago Street, Elgin, IL 60120. It will open Wednesday, April 7, and operate six days per week. Exact days and hours are still being coordinated with the City and will be partially based upon vaccine availability.
The site will offer free COVID-19 vaccines to all eligible Illinoisans. As of April 12, all individuals above the age of 16 will be eligible to receive the vaccine. For vaccinations administered at the new Elgin location, registration is required, residents can get appointments by going to www.kanevax.org or by calling 855-4-KaneVax.
ERC will remained closed for services at least through the remainder of 2021
