Davey Expert Tree Company in partnership with the City of Elgin, received a monetary award through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for Elgin's Public and Community Forestry Program. This funding enables the City of Elgin to better understand the condition and value of public trees and its natural resources while implementing maintenance and planting projects to improve the community's urban forest.
Residents are invited to learn about the City's urban forest and help preserve and improve the health and safety of trees and natural resources in our community throughout the coming year.
