Elgin By Bike

The Elgin by Bike promotion runs from Sept. 1 to October 31. Elgin by Bike rewards customers that shop and dine locally and arrive in a green and healthy way.

Participants are issued a wallet guide and a list of registered Elgin by Bike locations. Credit is earned for each visit made to participating locations via bicycle. Once shoppers have collected 10 visits, they can turn their wallet guide in for a modest prize and entry into a raffle drawing.

Punch cards will be available at the Elgin Downtown Neighborhood Association at 9 Douglas Avenue, first floor, and at participating downtown businesses. The Bicycling Ambassadors will also distribute the wallet guides at upcoming events.

Elgin has taken a huge step toward making the city a more fun and healthy place to live," said Active Trans Executive Director Rob Sadowsky. "Investing in programs like Ambassadors and Elgin by Bike is a low-cost way to make a real difference in residents' lives."
