This colonial revival home was designed by David Postle, of the architectural firm Turnbull & Postle. It has classic detailing, and many impressive original features, such as the palladian windows in the third floor dormers and Doric pilasters at the corners. Charles Glover was affiliated with the Elgin Silver Plate Company, which in 1902, produced 1.2 million pounds of coffin hardware. It later became the Elgin Metal Casket Company.
