Bluff Spring Fen Nature Hike
10:00 am start. Join Friends of Bluff Sping Fen on a hike through an Illinois Nature Preserve. Park at the entrance into the Fen on the southwest side of the Bluff City Cemetery, 945 Bluff City Blvd.
Monday, June 22
Elgin Historic District Walk
6:00 pm start. Join local historian Jerry Turnquist on a 90-minute tour through the Elgin Historic District. The tour will start at the First Congregational Church, 256 E. Chicago St, Elgin.
Yoga for Cyclists
6:30 - 7:15 pm. Just like yoga, cycling requires concentration, balance and strength. Join us for a yoga class that will take you through the appropriate postures, warm-up and recovery stretches. Please register at the Rakow Branch Library, 2751 West Bowes Road.

Family Bike Week Story Time
6:30 pm start time. Join Ms. Angela for 30 minutes of picture books, songs, and finger plays about bikes and exercise at the Rakow Branch Library, 2751 W. Bowes Road.

Breakfast Ride with a City Council

Join BPAC and members of the Elgin City Council on a two-wheeled exploration of Bike Route 1 and some of Elgin’s neighborhoods. The ride will end with coffee and breakfast at The Blue Box Café in downtown Elgin. Start at Elgin Municipal Building, 150 Dexter Ct, Elgin.
Zumba at the Rakow Branch
4:00 - 6:00 pm. You'll bike, run and walk better if you are in aerobic shape. If you like to dance to peppy music and get a great workout at the same time, try Zumba @ Rakow. Presented by staff from Curve Elgin. Please register for a 15 minute intro class at the Rakow Branch Library, 2751 West Bowes Road.

A History of the Bicycle in Elgin: Bicycle Builders, Fashionistas, Racers and More
. With at least four bicycle companies in Elgin's past, a legacy of bicycle racing, and a growing bikeway network, there is a lot to talk about when discussing the history of bicycle use and manufacturing in the Elgin area. Bob Noe, from the Village Pedaler will offer simple bike maintenance tips and answer questions for bike riders ages 12 to 112. Ride you bike to the Rakow Branch Library, 2751 West Bowes Road.

Curves Body Balance Class
Balance and core strength are important attributes for cyclists. "The Curves Body Balance Class is one of the new 30-minute classes for women like you. Body Balance is a low intensity weight based class including exercises to improve balance, stability and core strength for women of all ages!" Men are welcome to try it, too! Presented by staff from Curve Elgin. Please register for a 15-minute intro class at the Rakow Branch Library, 2751 W. Bowes Road.
Explore the Fox Valley
6:00 pm start. Join BPAC and other cyclists on a bike ride exploring regional trails in the beautiful Fox River valley. Meet in the north parking lot of the Gail Borden Public Library, 270 North Grove Ave.

Family Bike Ride & Kids Craft
9:00 am start
Join us for a fun-filled morning decorating your bike or trike from 9 - 10 am. At 10:00 am there will be a Bike Parade. Afterwards one and all can take a ride on the Reserve Bike Path. The Reserve area is beautiful to look at and full of all types of birds, animals, and native plant species. Meet your neighbors, get some fresh air and exercise. Back at Rakow there will be a chance to ride the Working Bike, try your hand at a craft, learn more about bikes and how they work. It will be a fun relaxing morning at the Rakow Branch Library, 2751 W. Bowes Rd.

Swedish Day Ride
Now in its 46th year the Fox Valley Bike & Ski Club's Swedish Days Ride remains one of the premier bike tours in the Chicagoland area.
