The spirit of volunteerism among the residents of Elgin is one of the city’s greatest assets of our community! No matter what your talents, gifts or interests, there are many rewarding ways you can give back to your community through volunteerism. Whether you are interested in helping at a one-time event, or looking for a regular volunteer job, there are many opportunities available.
For a listing of current volunteer opportunities with agencies throughout the city, go to the United Way of Elgin website or check out our list of various community organizations who offer volunteer opportunities.
Parks and Recreation
Volunteer at any of our many facilities or programs serving children, teens and adults through a wide variety of educational and physical activities.
The summer season is filled
with many special events that need enthusiastic volunteers who love
meeting people and having fun! Join us to prepare for the Elgin Valley
