Community Information Service Program

The Elgin Police Department has launched a new community information service that is designed to deliver important and timely information to residents in our community.  This service, Nixle, delivers trustworthy and important neighborhood-level public safety information instantly to you through the notification options you select:  cell phone text message, e-mail and/or web service.  You may select one notification option, or all three.  There is no spam or advertising.  This service is completely free, although standard text message rates apply for cell phone subscribers who do not have text plans with their cell phone providers, yet still subscribe to the text messaging notifications.  This is simple to use, reliable and trusted.  If you are interested in Nixle and would like more information, or if you’d like to enroll in this program, please click on the Nixle icon below or visit www.nixle.com.
