Architectural Rehabilitation Grants
Overview
The Historic Architectural Rehabilitation Grant Program is intended to emphasize the special architecture in Elgin's historic districts and landmarks.
The grants are for special work to highlight this uniqueness, not for compliance with the basic minimum property maintenance codes.

Pre-Application Meeting
A pre-application meeting is recommended to be scheduled. While this is not a requirements, the City would like to provide assistance and answer questions regarding your application, supporting documentation, and type of work proposed.
Deadlines
- Please call (847) 931-5910 for the date that the 50/50 program applications must be submitted.
- Applications for the 75/25 will be received on a rolling basis beginning in January of each year until all funds have been allocated.
