We offer programs for everyone from preschoolers to senior citizens. Our focus is on helping families appreciate their natural surroundings through a variety of programming opportunities year round.

The programs listed below are available to groups planning to visit Hawthorne Hill. Other topics may be requested.

Ecology (Year Round)
How are all living things connected? Find out during this amazing journey into the world of plants, animals, and food webs. You might be surprised to discover how much you really get from the natural world.

Woodland Wanders (Year Round)
Learn about trees, plants, and animals that live in the woods at Hawthorne Hill. Leaves, bark, buds, wildflowers, berries and fungi, various bugs, and occasional animals make every season a unique treat.

Pond Sleuths (May - September)
What lives in and around the pond? Look and listen for signs of birds, mammals, and amphibians. Check the water for critters and get dirty while enjoying a hands-on experience with wetland soils.

Geocaching with Kids Ages 6 - 15 Saturday, 4/7  1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
 Hike N Story Ages 2 - 5 Wednesday, 3/7, 4/4, 5/2 11:00 a. m. - 12:00 p. m.
 Leapin' Leprechauns! Ages 5 - 12 Saturday, 3/10  1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
 Marsh Melodies Ages 6 - 12 Friday, 5/25  6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
 Nature Photography  Ages 15 and up Saturday, 3/24, 4/28, 5/26 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
 Nature Lovers Book Group Ages 18 & up Wednesday, 3/28, 4/25  1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
 Spring Bird Walk Ages 7 and up Saturday, 5/12  1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
