Bike to School Day

May 10 Mid-Century Modern Architecture Bicycle Tour Enjoy part two of last year's successful bike ride past mid-century modern homes in Elgin's Northeast Neighborhood. Meeti at the Trout Park ball diamond parking lot at 6:30 pm.
 
May 13

CycloFemme Ride

Join BPAC on a Mother’s Day bike ride on the Fox River Trail. Meet in the north parking lot at the Gail Borden Public Library at 4:00 pm. A special treat for the first 50 ladies to show up! Learn more about this international event at CycloFemme.

 
May 16

Ride of Silence 

On one night in cities around the world, cyclists gather to ride in silence to raise awareness of cyclists' right to ride on the road and to honor the fallen cyclists no longer with us. We ride slowly and silently in hope to end the tragedy on our roads. BPAC invites you to join our friends at Spin Doctor Cyclewerks at 140 S. Hickory St in Bartlett at 6:45 pm to ride 10 miles in silence.

May 18

Bike to Work Day

BPAC invites you to bicycle to work. Stop in at Arabica Café, 50 Douglas Ave, between 8 and 9 am for some refreshments and to pick up some swag.

May 19

Fox River Omnium

Enjoy exciting criterium racing adjacent to Lord's Park on day one of the Fox River Omnium. Find out more about this Illinois Cup Series day of racing at http://www.illinoiscycling.org/racing/illionois-cup.

May 20

Blessing of the Bikes

Receive a blessing by local clergy for a safe cycling season. Then ride to West Dundee on the Fox River Trail for another blessing...a frozen treat from DQ or Van's frozen Custard. Meet on the Riverside Drive Promenade at 2 pm.

May 27  Elgin Bike Ride Join Elgin Bike Hub for a slow roll as they explore Elgin by bike. They'll ride low stress routes for 3-6 miles. Get to know your city and your neighbors! The route is planned to be firendly for ages 8 - 80. It will be a mix of off-street and on-street routes. Riders are responsible for their own behavior as a street user. Elgin Bike Hub will provide helpful guidance and leadership as you roll. The ride will roll from the Festival Park at 2:15 pm

May 29  Full (Flower) Moon Ride It's the May flower moon edition of the full moon ride. This will be a moderate pace ride for a few miles throughout the core neighborhoods of Elgin. Join Elgin Bike Hub for this social night ride! Meet at Advocate Park at 9 pm
