Fire Station 1

Fire Station 1 is located on Summit Street, just west of Liberty Street (Route 25). Station 1 serves the northeast part of Elgin. Its response are is bound by the Fox River to the west, city limits to the north and Chicago Street/Bode Road to the south.
Station 1 is the headquarters of the Elgin Fire Department. In addition to the on-duty crew available for emergency response, the station also contains the administrative offices of the Fire Chief, the Assistant Fire Chiefs as well as the Fire Prevention Bureau.
Fire Station 2

Fire Station 2 is located on Big Timber Road, one quarter mile west of Route 31. Station Two serves the northwest part of Elgin and houses the TRT Squad, Water Rescue and Recovery Squad and Boat 2.
Fire Station 3

Fire Station Three is located on Royal Boulevard one quarter mile east of Randall Road. Station Three serves the west area of Elgin with boundaries to the west being the village limits of Pingree Grove, north to Route 72, south to Route 20, east to Mclean Boulevard, as well as the Randall Road corridor. Station Three opened in November 1991 and is staffed by a crew of three and is the home to the Salvation Army Canteen truck.
Engine 3 provides Auto Aid to Pingree Grove and Rutland Dundee.
Fire Station 4

Fire Station Four was placed in service in November 1991 and is located at the intersection of McLean Boulevard and Sports Way at the entrance to the Sports Complex. Station Four serves the southwest part of Elgin.
Fire Station 5

Fire Station Five was placed in service in November 1991 and is located at the corner of Villa Street and Willard Avenue. Station Five serves the southeast part of Elgin.
Fire Station 6
707 W. Chicago Street | 847-931-6170
Fire Station Six opened on May 1, 2005 and is located at 707 W. Chicago Street. Fire Station Six is home to Battalion One and Fire Engine 6. Fire Engine Six responds to calls within the downtown area and the central near west section of the City. District 6 has Wing Street as its northern boundary, Spring Street to the east, McLean Boulevard to the west, and Route 20 to the south.

Fire Station Seven was placed in service on May 5, 2008 and is located at 3270 Longcommon Parkway on Elgin’s far west side. Fire Station Seven provides coverage to the far west side of Elgin. The five bay, 17,270 square foot station’s response area covers the southwest section of the city. It is staffed with an advanced life support ambulance and engine. The station also contains a Water Rescue Craft and an All Terrain Vehicle to assist with specialized rescues.
