 Hawthorne Hill Nature Center
Habitat Restoration Volunteer Work Days
We are planning several work days in upcoming months. No orientation is needed to participate.

 Saturday Oct 21 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
 Saturday Nov 18 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
 Saturday Dec 16 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Is your club, team, group, family or just you looking for a project? Volunteers are always needed and appreciated. No job is too big or small - extra hands are needed for everything from gardening and mulching trails to clearing weeds, brush and invasive trees to make way for native species to grow.

For Habitat Restoration Work Days no volunteer orientation is needed. New volunteers must complete and sign a waiver form. For more information, or to sign up, contact Maura Neuffer at  or 847-531-7055.

Hawthorne Hill Nature Center welcomes volunteers 10 years and up to participate in outdoor work days. Volunteers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. ALL volunteers under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Please bring a water bottle, wear work boots/tough shoes, long pants, long sleeves, and dress for the weather.

On-going Hawthorne Hill Volunteer Opportunities

Visitor Greeter at Hawthorne Hill

Wednesdays from 10:00 - Noon. Bilingual is helpful, but not required.
